Register as Bone Marrow Donors.

My cousin, who suffered from aplastic anemia, benefited from the U.S. national registry of bone marrow donors. I'm forever thankful that we have a system in place for this situation.

Aplastic anemia, which occurs when the bone marrow stops making enough blood cells, is a rare condition. It can strike any person of any age, gender, or race.

Bone marrow transplants are a life-changing treatment for people with leukemia, lymphoma and many other diseases. For many of these patients, a transplant might be the only hope of a cure.  more
