I just read a forum post about using the sponge for contraception. For those who do not know what the sponge is...it is a small round sponge that is full of nonoxydol-9. This is a contraceptive substance that kills sperm on contact. Many condoms are covered and lined with the substance to protect against pregnancy if the condom should break.
