STD Has Impact Later in Life

Posted by SteffieLoading...: 2008-08-21 22:22:24

I recently stumbled upon a study funded by the National Institutes of Health which found that a history of sexually transmitted disease also has an impact on sexual health later in life. It stated that sexual dysfunction is not an inevitable part of aging, but it is strongly related to mental and physical health, demographics and lifetime experiences.

I regret that as a teen, I was a bit on the wild side. Now that's an understatement. I've shared on this blog previously that I've had an abortion. With the unsafe sex practices I engaged in, I also got an STD.

The study shows ... more

Health Benefits of Sex

Posted by SteffieLoading...: 2008-08-11 13:53:52

Not that I’ve ever needed an excuse to have sex, now I just have the reasons to convince my mate to do it more often. When he has a headache, I’d have to tell him that a hormone released during intercourse acts as a pain reliever. And who’s to argue that a good night’s sleep isn’t guaranteed to reduce stress? Increased blood flow cleanses your system; at the same time, 150-300 calories is burned in 30 minutes. No exercise can be as efficient and as enjoyable as sex. I don’t think there’s a pill that boasts of lengthening your life by boosting your immune system, preventing ... more

The cervix is placed at the lower part of the uterus that gives way to the vagina. The endocervix is the canal in the cervix that leads to the uterus from the vagina. There are membranes in the cervix that produce serous secretions and mucous that helps in lubricating and protecting the cervix. The cervical discharges become thinner to allow sperm to enter when the progesterone points rise at mid-cycle. The rest of the time the mucous is usually thicker than it is at this stage. This is to prevent infection causing organisms from entering the cervix and the entry of sperm before ... more

Posted by BlitheLoading...: 2008-06-24 15:00:35

After watching an interview with a group of young pregnant teenagers I was surprised at the misconceptions they had a bout STDs and pregnancy.
